The Central Florida Commuter Rail Commission Governing Board was established on August 29, 2007, to assist the Florida Department of Transportation with policy direction during the planning, design, construction and first seven years of operation for the Central Florida Commuter Rail system. The Governing Board consists of five members – one each from Volusia, Seminole, Orange and Osceola counties as well as the City of Orlando.
