1) Over the next five years, do you believe the Central Florida Region’s Transportation situation will get better, stay the same, or will get worse?

2) Now is the time for our region to invest in a new, modern Mass Transit System.

3) Mass Transit Systems just cost too much tax money to build these days.

4) Alternatives to commuting by automobile are absolutely necessary if we are to have any hope of reducing traffic congestion in the Region.

5) Central Florida Commuters will never give up their cars to commute to and from work.

6) Recently, announcements have been made about creation of a Regional Commuter Rail System for Central Florida. Have you heard a lot, some, only a little or nothing at all about a Regional Commuter Rail System for Central Florida?

The Commuter Rail System, when developed, will have a certain look and feel, from its signs and logos, to its trains, stations, exteriors and interiors. Look and feel is often communicated through color schemes. Let’s think about three color schemes. First there are Warm colors like Reds, Yellows and Oranges that match our region’s warm, sunny climate. Second, there are Cool colors like Blues, Greens and Purples that match our skies and environment. And third, there are Metallic colors to match sleek, high-tech modern trains. Remember that the color scheme choices are: Warm, Cool and Metallic.

Which color scheme best matches:

7) A safe train that is carefully maintained and safe to ride.

8) A train system with lots of choices and connections.

9) A popular train that people you know want to ride.

10) A fast train.

11) A train that stays on time according to its schedule.

12) A clean train.

13) Here are some words that might be used to describe an appealing train or Commuter Rail System. Tell me which descriptive word is most appealing to you.

Some people say they are more attracted to trains that are nostalgic with a retro-quality that makes us think of the romance of the Orient Express, Pullman cars, Great Locomotives, and Grand Train Stations. Other people say they are more attracted to cutting-edge, modern and sleek high-tech trains like those that you’ll find in Europe and Japan today.

14) Which type of train would you most enjoy riding?

Here are a few names that might be used to describe the whole train system or individual train cars or routes. Tell me whether you find each name very appealing, somewhat appealing, not very or not at all appealing for a Central Florida Commuter Rail System.

15) Central Florida Breeze.

16) Lakeway Limited.

17) The Central Clipper.

18) Sunshine Streamliner.

19) The Lakes Liner.

20) Sunshine Special.

21) Florida Flyer.

22) Overall, which one of those names do you find most appealing?

23) Considering all the pros and cons of a Commuter Rail Transit System, what is your bottom line on Central Florida proceeding to build such a system; do you approve or disapprove?

24) How likely is it that you or someone else in your household will ever use a Commuter Rail Transit System?

25) What is the highest level of Education that you had an opportunity to complete?

26) What is the total length of your daily commute to and from work or school each day, expressed in total combined minutes it takes both ways on a typical or average day?

27) How often do you Carpool/Take the Bus, or get to work or school by some means other than your own personal Car?

28) How many Employees does your Organization have?

29) How long have you lived in Central Florida?

30) Are you interested in having us share the results of this survey with your Organization?
